Wang Yong Meets with Vice President Manuel Domingos Vicente of Angola

On June 5, 2017 local time, State Councilor Wang Yong met with Vice President Manuel Domingos Vicente of Angola in Luanda.

Wang Yong said that Angola is China's important strategic partner in Africa, and it has made great achievements in various causes in recent years. As a good friend and good partner of Angola, China feels sincerely happy in this regard. It is hoped that this visit could advance the implementation of the series of important consensus reached by the two heads of state and the outcomes of the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and promote the level of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation, in a bid to better benefit the two peoples. Adhering to the policy towards Africa featuring sincerity, practical results, affinity and good faith and the correct value of friendship, justice and shared interests proposed by President Xi Jinping, China will actively develop China-Angola friendly relationship, continuously encourage Chinese enterprises to invest and establish business in Angola, and enhance bilateral cooperation in energy, finance, infrastructure and other aspects, so as to achieve mutual benefit, win-win results and common development.

Manuel Domingos Vicente expressed that as strategic partners to each other, Angola and China have made fruitful achievements from bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in recent years. The country stands ready to make joint efforts with China to further enhance political mutual trust, and deepen cooperation in various fields, in a bid to constantly elevate Angola-China strategic partnership to new stages.

During the visit, Wang Yong also met with Minister of State Manuel Hélder Vieira Dias Júnior "Kopelipa" of Angola, jointly witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation documents, inspected the Kilamba Kiaxi social housing project of the CITIC Construction and attended the opening ceremony of Bank of China Luanda Branch.
