President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

On April 4, 2019, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

I. Wu Ken was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Federal Republic of Germany, replacing Shi Mingde.

II. Hua Ning was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of South Sudan, replacing He Xiangdong.

III. Wu Peng was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kenya, replacing Sun Baohong (female).

IV. Gong Tao was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Angola, replacing Cui Aimin.

V. Guo Shaochun was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Zimbabwe, replacing Huang Ping.

VI. Du Dewen (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, replacing Xiao Qinghua.

VII. Jiang Yu (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Romania, replacing Xu Feihong.

VIII. Dong Xiaojun was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Bulgaria, replacing Zhang Haizhou.
