Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed of Djibouti

On the afternoon of August 28, 2014, Premier Li Keqiang met in Nanjing with Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed of Djibouti, who came to China to attend the closing ceremony of the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games.

Li Keqiang expressed that over the past 35 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between China and Djibouti, both sides have always treated each other as equals and supported each other, which has become a new model for large and small countries to seek cooperation with win-win results and common development. The Chinese side is willing to support Djibouti in building regional logistics hub, developing port economy, improving people's livelihood and building regional peaceful harbour so as to achieve greater development in the bilateral relations and cooperation.

Li Keqiang said that, as the largest developing country and the continent with the largest number of developing countries respectively, China and Africa are not only a community of common destiny but also a community of common interests. Both China and Africa are highly complementary in cooperation, and their development is each other's opportunities. We are ready to adhere to the principles of "sincerity, real results, affinity and good faith" to improve the level of cooperation with African countries so as to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results and bring benefits to peoples of both sides.

Kamil expressed that the Djibouti-China relations always enjoy a sound development. Djibouti admires the development achievements of China, and stands ready to learn and follow the development experience of China and comprehensively promote the Djibouti-China cooperation. Djibouti is ready to give full play to its regional advantages, serve as a portal for Chinese commodities entering Africa and welcome more investment in Djibouti from the Chinese side.
