Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with Presidents of the News Agencies of the Four African Countries

On July 13, 2007, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with the delegation of presidents of the national news agencies from Senegal, Gabon, Togo, and Benin in the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Zhai positively commented on the friendly cooperative relationship between China and African and particularly focused upon the implementation of the outcomes reached at Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He said that China-Africa cooperation is a type of mutually beneficial cooperation between developing nations. It is open and transparent. It aims at advancing common development of both sides. The Chinese side attaches great importance to the implementation of the outcomes and is actively implementing them so as to expand the cooperation between China and Africa in all areas and give more benefits to the people.

The presidents of the news agencies of the four African countries all sang high praise for the sincere and friendly cooperation between China and Africa and expressed the will to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between news agencies of the two sides in a bid to advance China-Africa relationship to a deep level.
