Wang Yi Meets with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Tlohang Sekhamane of Lesotho

On October 9, 2015, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met in Beijing with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Tlohang Sekhamane of Lesotho.

Wang Yi noted that China attaches importance to China-Lesotho relations, and stands ready to continue to support and help with the national development of Lesotho based on the current sound cooperation. The Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will be held this December, and China is willing to, together with all other members of the FOCAC including Lesotho, strive for the success and hold a summit featuring solidarity, cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win result, and promote the China-Africa and China-Lesotho relations to a new high.

Tlohang Sekhamane expressed that Lesotho regards China as a reliable and sincere friend, and is sincerely grateful to China for its long-term assistance and support. Lesotho hopes to further deepen bilateral cooperation in infrastructure construction, industrialization, energy, mining, agriculture, rural development, human resources development, environmental protection, tourism and other fields, so as to better benefit the two countries and two peoples. Lesotho is willing to work with China to ensure a complete success of the summit.
