The Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Holds Collective Consultation with the African Diplomatic Corps in China

On July 12, 2018, the Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) held the second collective consultation with the African Diplomatic Corps in China on the preparation work for the FOCAC Beijing Summit in 2018. Secretary General of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the FOCAC and Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Dai Bing co-chaired the consultation with South African Ambassador to China Dolana Msimang. South Africa is the co-chair of the FOCAC. 49 diplomatic envoys or representatives of African countries to China attended the consultation, including head of the delegation of diplomatic envoys of African countries to China and Madagascan Ambassador to China Victor Sikonina. Burkina Faso and the African Union Commission, which have not set up embassy or representative office in China, also sent representatives for a special trip to China to attend the consultation.
