On January 14, 2015, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming met with the outgoing Mauritian Ambassador to China Paul R. Lit Fong Chong Leung.

Zhang Ming expressed appreciation and gratitude to Paul R. Lit Fong Chong Leung for his positive contributions to the development of China-Mauritius relations during his service as Ambassador to China, and at the same time expressed the hope that he will continue to care for the China-Mauritius friendly cause after coming back home and play a positive role in the further development of China-Mauritius relations. Paul R. Lit Fong Chong Leung thanked the Chinese side, the Chinese Foreign Ministry in particular, for their support provided in the fulfillment of his duties in China, and said that he will continue to do his best for the Mauritius-China friendship after returning home and believes that the bilateral relations will continue to advance.
