On May 20, 2016, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming met with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and External Communication Charles Gaëtan Xavier-Luc Duval of Mauritius, who was in China to attend the first World Tourism Development Conference. The two sides exchanged views on China-Mauritius relations, the implementation of the outcomes of Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and other topics of common interest. Afterwards, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming and First Deputy Prime Minister Charles Gaëtan Xavier-Luc Duval attended the release ceremony for the second edition of Mauritius: Heaven on Earth jointly organized by World Affairs Press and Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority.
