Yu Zhengsheng Meets with Prime Minister Hage Geingob of Namibia

On April 8, 2014, Yu Zhengsheng, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Prime Minister Hage Geingob of Namibia at the Great Hall of the People.

Yu Zhengsheng spoke positively on China-Namibia traditional friendship and friendly cooperative relations. He said, Namibia is an "all-weather friend" of China, and the two countries as well as two peoples have always been understanding, supporting and helping each other over the years. Both sides should earnestly implement the important consensus that His Excellency has reached with Chinese leaders during his visit, and join hands to well serve as the "gardeners", so as to make joint efforts for the thriving growth of the tree of China-Namibia friendship and cooperation. The CPPCC is willing to further close personnel exchanges with Namibia, and to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in aspects of construction of democracy and law as well as improvement of people's livelihood, so as to make new contributions to pushing forward respective national construction and social development, and to promoting China-Namibia cooperation in various fields.

Geingob said that China is a sincere and reliable friend to Namibia. He thanked China's consistent support for Namibia's political independence and economic development. The Namibian government and people expect to expand all-round, mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation with China.
