Yang Jiechi Meets with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia

On April 11, 2017, State Councilor Yang Jiechi met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia in Zhongnanhai.

Yang Jiechi said that China has always regarded Namibia as an important cooperation partner and one of the priorities of its relations with Africa. Bilateral relations have maintained a sound development momentum in recent years. It is hoped that the two sides will give full play to the three major advantages of political mutual trust, people's friendship and economic complementarities, and comprehensively deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, in a bid to better benefit the two peoples.

Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah said that China and Namibia enjoy a long history of friendship. Namibia sincerely thanks China for its long-standing and selfless assistance. On the basis of win-win results, Namibia is willing to cooperate with China in comprehensively strengthening bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, intensify coordination in international affairs, and jointly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries.
