Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Security of the Rwandan Senate

On December 8, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met in the Foreign Ministry with MUNYABAGISHA Valens, President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Security of the Rwandan Senate, who is visiting China at the invitation of the NPC's Foreign Affairs Committee.

Munyabagisha made positive comments on Rwanda-China relations. He said his country is actively committed to accelerating national development and safeguarding regional stability. China has offered important help in this regard. He expressed belief that China will continue to provide support to Rwanda in the areas of education, health, agriculture and infrastructure construction during Rwandan President Paul Kagame's second tenure.

Zhai congratulated Rwanda on its achievements in domestic and foreign affairs and thanked for Rwanda's consistent support to China on major issues concerning China's core interests. Zhai said that China is ready to work with Rwanda to continue enhancing cooperation in all areas in bilateral areas and in the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in a bid to push bilateral friendly cooperative relations to a new level.
