Wang Yi: China Will Stand Firmly with Sierra Leone in "Post-Ebola Era"

On August 8 local time, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during his talks with Foreign Minster Samura Kamar of Sierra Leone in Freetown, capital of Sierra Leone, expressed that the main purpose of his visits to Sierra Leone, Liberia and the Republic of Guinea is to observe the progress made by the three nations in fighting against the Ebola epidemic, listen to the demands and wishes of the three sides in economic and social reconstruction in post-Ebola era, and discuss how to enhance bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation, so as to bring China's role in economic and social development and revitalization of the three nations into play.

Wang Yi stressed that China will send a clear signal to the international community that China not only stood by the Sierra Leonean people when they fought against the Ebola, but also will continue to do so when the country devotes to its economic and social reconstruction.
