On September 21, 2023 local time, Vice President Han Zheng met with President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Wonie Bio on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Han Zheng said that China and Sierra Leone are good brothers and good friends who have supported each other with sincerity and friendship, and the two sides have always firmly supported each other on issues involving their respective core interests and major concerns.
