On April 8, 2018, Secretary General of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Dai Bing met at request with a delegation of the Union for the Republic (UNIR), the ruling political party in Togo. Both sides exchanged views on China-Togo relations, bilateral cooperation, the FOCAC Beijing Summit in 2018 and other topics of common interest.
