Special Representative Zhong Jianhua and his delegation call on President Edgar Lungu

From January 7 to 9, 2016, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on African Affairs Ambassador Zhong Jianhua visited Zambia. The Zambian government paid high attention to his visit and gave him a high-level reception. President Edgar Lungu, Acting Foreign Minister Rayford Mbulu and Secretary to the Cabinet Roland Msiska of Zambia met with him respectively. Both sides fully exchanged views on implementing the results of the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), comprehensively deepening China-Zambia friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields and international and regional topics of common interest, and yielded positive results.

President Edgar Lungu spoke highly of Zambia-China traditional friendship and fruitful results in bilateral practical cooperation, and said that Zambia will take the opportunity of the FOCAC Johannesburg Summit to make joint efforts with China to push for more results from bilateral friendly cooperation and thus benefit the two peoples. Special Representative Zhong Jianhua expressed that China will work with Zambia to enhance bilateral all-round practical cooperation, intensify bilateral communication and coordination on international and regional issues and promote bilateral friendly relations for constant development.
