Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with Delegation of Malawian Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)

On April 4, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with a delegation of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) of Malawi headed by Davies Katsonga, member of DPP National Governing Council.

Zhai said that since China and Malawi established diplomatic relations more than two years ago, both countries have made substantial progress in exchanges and cooperation on the areas of politics, economy, trade and culture. China attaches importance to ties with Malawi and is ready to work with it to push forward bilateral ties. Katsonga said since the establishment of diplomatic ties, bilateral friendly cooperation has yielded fruitful results, bringing tangible benefits to both peoples, for which Malawi is grateful. Malawi would like to work with China to further deepen bilateral friendly cooperation in all areas.
