Li Keqiang Meets with President Arthur Peter Mutharika of Malawi

On the afternoon of September 10, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang met at Dalian State Guesthouse with President Arthur Peter Mutharika of Malawi, who was in China to attend the Summer Davos Forum 2015.

Li Keqiang first conveyed President Xi Jinping's warm greetings to President Arthur Peter Mutharika, and said that China-Malawi relations are developing rapidly. China is satisfied with the cooperation achievements made by the two countries in recent years. China would like to consolidate friendship and expand cooperation with Malawi, so as to constantly make new progress in China-Malawi relations.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China is willing to actively discuss with Malawi the key fields for practical cooperation based on its national conditions and development needs. China would like to help Malawi develop its economy and improve its people's livelihood by deepening cooperation in agriculture, healthcare, education, poverty relief and security. The Chinese government supports Chinese enterprises to participate in the construction of infrastructure and major projects in Malawi.

Arthur Peter Mutharika said that Premier Li Keqiang delivered a wonderful speech at the Summer Davos Forum. Malawi is willing to learn from China's development experience, thanks China for its valuable support, and welcomes Chinese enterprises to take an active part in Malawi's infrastructure construction thus help Malawi's development.
