On June 29, 2018, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng and the visiting Minister of Justice and Public Order Ionas Nicolaou of Cyprus, on behalf of respective governments, jointly signed the Extradition Treaty Between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Cyprus. The China-Cyprus extradition treaty will provide important legal foundation for bilateral cooperation in justice and law enforcement, and will further promote friendly and practical cooperation between the two countries. Prior to the signing ceremony, both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and topics of common interest.
