From November 29 to December 2, 2018, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao visited Cyprus, during which he met with Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus and held the political consultation between the two Foreign Ministries with Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Minas Hadjimichael of Cyprus. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Cyprus relations, cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and in various fields, China-European Union relations and international and regional issues of common concern.
