Xi Jinping Meets with President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus

On June 14, 2019 local time, President Xi Jinping met with President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus in Bishkek.

Xi Jinping pointed out that in less than two months, I met with Mr. President twice, which fully reflects the high level of bilateral relations. In recent years, China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership featuring mutual trust and win-win cooperation has been developing steadily. The two sides should continue to work together to well align the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative with Belarus' economic and social development strategies, create favorable conditions for the construction of China-Belarus industrial park, well implement major projects, and expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges and mutual learning, in a bid to push China-Belarus relations for constant and forward-looking development.

Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus and China are comprehensive strategic partners who have always supported each other on issues concerning each other's core interests, with fruitful cooperation outcomes in various fields. Belarus admires the splendid achievements made by the People's Republic of China since its founding 70 years ago, and actively supports the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. Belarus is ready to cooperate closely with the Chinese side in such fields as economy, trade, production capacity, science and technology, as well as people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and jointly well build Belarus-China industrial park. The Belarusian side is ready to strengthen coordination with the Chinese side within multilateral frameworks including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
