On January 7, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng met with Rudy Kiryl, Belarusian Ambassador to China who is to leave his post.

Le Yucheng spoke positively of Rudy Kiryl's efforts in propelling China-Belarus during his term of office, and hoped that the two Foreign Ministries will continue to maintain close coordination, earnestly implement various consensuses reached by the two heads of state and constantly deepen China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership and practical cooperation in all fields, in a bid to benefit the two countries and the two peoples.

Rudy Kiryl thanked the Chinese side for the support and assistance during his tenure, saying that the Belarusian side gives priority to its relations with China in its diplomacy, and is willing to continue to reinforce bilateral cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative to push bilateral relations for development.
