On April 21, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng spoke with new Belarusian Ambassador to China Nikolai Snopkov on the phone. Both sides exchanged views on such topics as bilateral relations and cooperation in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Le Yucheng welcomed Nikolai Snopkov on his assumption of office and spoke highly of China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership. Extending gratitude to the Belarusian side for providing China with precious support in fighting against the coronavirus disease, Le Yucheng expressed, the Chinese side firmly supports the Belarusian side’s fight against the pandemic and will continue to offer assistance within its capacity.

Nikolai Snopkov noted, the current Belarus-China relations enjoy sustained and rapid development, and I am honored to serve as Belarusian Ambassador to China at this time. The two countries have supported each other in the fight against the epidemic, which fully demonstrates the brotherly feelings between both countries. The Belarusian side is ready to work with the Chinese side to elevate bilateral relations new highs.
