On July 5, 2021, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng attended the reception celebrating the Belarus Independence Day held by Belarussian Embassy in China upon invitation.

In his remarks, Le Yucheng congratulated on the Belarus Independence Day and expressed that bilateral relations have been running at a high level in the past 29 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties. President Xi Jinping and President Alexander Lukashenko had a phone conversation last June and this January respectively, making strategic plans and deployments for the development of China-Belarus relations. Despite multiple challenges such as COVID-19, China-Belarus cooperation in various fields moved forward with many highlights. China just held a grand celebration marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and has embarked on a new journey to fully build a modern socialist country. Belarus just celebrated the 30th anniversary of its independence, and is advancing various undertakings of its reform and development in an all-round manner. The two countries and China-Belarus relations are standing at a new historical starting point. We are ready to work with Belarus to follow the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, tap into the potential of China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership, and continuously elevate bilateral cooperation in various fields to new levels.

In his remarks, Ambassador of Belarus to China Yuri Senko thanked China for its important support to the country's economic and social development, highly commended Belarus-China relations and the fruitful results of bilateral cooperation in various fields, congratulated the CPC on its centenary, and wishes China success in achieving the second centenary goal. Senko expressed that as President Xi Jinping pointed out, "Every generation must see its own long march through". Belarus will also see its own "long march" through and work closely with China to constantly deepen Belarus-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
