On January 6, 2022, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng met with Belarusian Ambassador to China Yuri Senko to exchange views on China-Belarus relations, bilateral high-level exchanges and international and regional issues of common concern.

Le Yucheng said that since the establishment of China-Belarus diplomatic relations 30 years ago, relations between the two countries have been developing soundly and steadily. The two sides have maintained close high-level exchanges, with firm political support for each other and fruitful cooperation in various fields. Under the new circumstances, China is ready to work together with Belarus to practice the spirit of mutual trust, win-win cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership, expand mutual support, deepen the Belt and Road cooperation, strengthen communication and coordination in international affairs, and safeguard the common interests of the two countries and international fairness and justice.

Senko said that Belarus regards China as a reliable friend and a true partner, and attaches great importance to deepening cooperation with China in various fields. Belarus will work with China to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, finance and other areas, expand mutual support on international and multilateral occasions, and promote Belarus-China comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level.
