Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui Attends the Reception Marking the Independence Day of Belarus

On July 3, 2023, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui attended the reception marking the Independence Day of Belarus held by the Belarusian Embassy in China upon invitation.

In his remarks, Li Hui spoke highly of the achievements of Belarus’s economic and social development, and said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the political mutual trust between China and Belarus has been continuously consolidated, Belt and Road cooperation has been steadily advancing, and bilateral relations are at their best in history. Noting President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s successful state visit to China in early March this year at the invitation of President Xi Jinping, Li Hui said China is ready to work with Belarus to implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state to constantly push forward the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Belarus.

Ambassador of Belarus to China Yuri Senko spoke highly of the development achievements of Belarus-China relations, saying that Belarus is ready to work with China to take the establishment of an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries as an opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields and make Belarus-China relations more beneficial to the two peoples.
