On May 23, 2014, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao, who was accompanying Vice Premier Liu Yandong on her visit to Croatia, met at request with Deputy Minister Josko Klisovic of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia.

Wang Chao said that the China-Croatia comprehensive cooperative partnership has enjoyed smooth development. China stands ready to work together with Croatia to take the opportunity of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral comprehensive cooperative partnership and to make good use of the cooperation platforms between China and the Central and Eastern European countries, promoting the practical cooperation in all fields for more results.

Klisovic said that developing relations with China is a diplomatic priority for Croatia and Croatia is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in the fields of economy, trade, tourism and people-to-people and cultural engagement, pushing the bilateral relations to a higher level.
