From February 28 to March 2, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao visited Croatia, during which he met with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković of Croatia, and held political consultation between the two foreign ministries with Head of the Prime Minister's Office Zvonimir Frka-Petešić and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Zdravka Bušić of Croatia. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Croatia relations, "16+1 cooperation", China-Europe relations and other issues.
