Li Keqiang Meets with Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic of Croatia

On the morning of April 10, 2019 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic of Croatia at the parliament building in Zagreb.

Li Keqiang expressed that China and Croatia share a long-term friendship. We are willing to, on the basis of respecting each other's core interests and major concerns, continuously enlarge the scale of bilateral trade, enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges, strengthen mutual learning in areas such as sports, and deepen friendship between the two peoples, so as to promote bilateral relations to achieve more mutually beneficial and win-win results.

Li Keqiang pointed out that cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies is an important component of bilateral relations. The Chinese side is willing to enhance parliamentary exchanges with the Croatian side to further consolidate the public opinion foundation of China-Croatia relations and play a constructive role in promoting bilateral cooperation.

Gordan Jandrokovic noted that Premier Li Keqiang's visit this time is a trip of friendship and cooperation, and China is Croatia's great cooperation partner as well as a friend during Croatia's development. The Croatian side firmly supports the one-China principle, and stands ready to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in areas including sports, culture and tourism and enhance exchanges between the two countries' legislative bodies so as to promote the development of bilateral relations.
