Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo Visits Italy, Croatia and France

From December 6 to 12, 2019, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo visited Italy, Croatia and France.

During his visit, Special Representative Wu Hongbo attended the fifth Mediterranean Dialogues in Rome, and delivered a keynote speech at the sub-forum: Along The New Silk Road: China And Middle East Relations.

Special Representative Wu Hongbo also met respectively with Elisabetta Belloni, Secretary General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy; Marija Pejčinović Burić, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia; Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France; Pauline Carmona, Deputy Director-General of the Directorate for Asia and Oceania of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France; Thierry de Montbrial, Executive Chairman of the French Institute of International Relations and others, exchanging in-depth views on such topics as bilateral relations, Chine-Europe relations and the situation in Europe. Wu Hongbo also had discussions with representatives of the association of Chinese enterprises in Croatia on ways to better carry out bilateral practical cooperation.
