Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Haixing Attends Czech Year on Belt and Road Opening Ceremony

On February 17, 2017, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Haixing attended the Czech Year on Belt and Road Opening Ceremony held by the Czech Embassy in China at invitation.

Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Haixing expressed in his speech that at present, China-Czech relations have maintained a sound development momentum with frequent exchanges of high-level visits and fruitful results from practical cooperation. China is willing to make joint efforts with the Czech Republic to, on the basis of the inter-governmental memorandum of understanding signed by both sides on jointly building the "Belt and Road" and bilateral cooperation plans, further propel exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

Head of the Presidential Office Vratislav Mynar of the Czech Republic, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lukáš Kaucký of the Czech Republic and Czech Ambassador to China Bedrich Kopecky respectively delivered speeches. Speaking highly of President Xi Jinping's successful visit to the Czech Republic last year, they stressed that the Czech side will continue to support and actively participate in the "Belt and Road" construction, and hopes to further deepen practical cooperation with China in civil aviation, health care, high-tech, machinery and other fields under this framework.
