On September 14, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li met with outgoing Czech Ambassador to China Vladimír Tomšík.

Deng Li spoke highly of Vladimír Tomšík's efforts to promote the development of China-Czech relations during his tenure as Czech Ambassador to China, and said that China attaches importance to growing relations with the Czech Republic and stands ready to work with the country to respect each other's core interests, conduct dialogue at all levels, and promote the sound and steady growth of bilateral relations.
