On April 27, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying met with Andris Berzins, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Latvian Parliament, who is visiting China at the invitation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC). Both sides exchanged views on political, economic and trade relations between China and Latvia, as well as bilateral cooperation in the field of humanities. They agreed to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas and jointly promote smooth development of bilateral friendly cooperative relations.
