On October 31, 2014, Vice Foreign Minister and Secretary-General of the China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Cooperation Secretariat Wang Chao met with visiting State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of of Latvia and Latvian coordinator of CEEC-China cooperation Andrejs Pildegovičs, who was in China for attendance of the fourth Ministerial Conference of the Istanbul Process on Afghanistan. Both sides spoke positively of progress of the China-Latvia relations and the results of practical cooperation in various fields since the beginning of this year, and exchanged views on China-CEEC cooperation and China-Europe relations.
