On February 25, 2016, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Haixing held political consultations between Chinese and Latvian Foreign Ministries together with Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eduards Stiprais of Latvia, exchanging views on bilateral relations, China-Europe relations, cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries as well as other international and regional topics of common interest.
