On June 24, 2016, Assistant Foreign Minister and Secretary-General of the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Liu Haixing met with National Coordinator for China-CEEC Cooperation and State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Andrejs Pildegovičs of Latvia, who was visiting China to attend the 7th National Coordinators' Meeting for the "16+1 Cooperation" in Haikou, Hainan Province. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and China-CEEC cooperation.
