Zeng Qinghong Meets with Lithuanian Foreign Minister

On April 13, 2006, Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong met with visiting Lithuanian Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis and his delegation in the Great Hall of the People.

Zeng said that in recent years, bilateral relations have been developing smoothly and both sides have maintained high-level contact with fruitful cooperation in the areas of economy, trade and humanities. China attaches great importance to developing relations with Lithuania, respects the development road independently chosen by the Lithuanian people and hopes to see new achievements in its social and economic development. Zeng appreciated the Lithuanian government for always adhering to the one-China principle.

Valionis made positive comments on bilateral relations and reaffirmed that the Lithuanian government will adhere to the one-China principle and will also continue to deepen friendly cooperative relations with China in all areas.
