Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius of Lithuania

In the morning of December 17 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius of Lithuania in Belgrade.

Li Keqiang said that China and Lithuania enjoys traditional friendship with foundation. China is willing to forge political mutual trust and promote practical cooperation with Lithuania on the basis of mutual respect and equality, so as to ensure the China-Lithuania relationship to proceed along the right track.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China stands ready to take part in the cooperation on such projects as the Rail Baltic, and discuss with the Lithuanian side on cooperation over the utilization and modification of the transport infrastructure including the ports and roads. China is ready to, together with the Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) including Lithuania, make efforts to promote the implementation of various measures outlined in the Belgrade Guideline, so as to promote China-CEEC cooperation for constant and in-depth development.

Algirdas Butkevičius expressed that China is an important cooperative partner of Lithuania, and Lithuania is committed to developing friendly and cooperative relations with China, firmly sticks to the One China policy, opposes any force that attempts to split China including the "Tibet independence", and will never provide any venues and convenience for the activities of these forces. Lithuania is willing to advance cooperation with China in such fields as economy, trade, agriculture, transport, infrastructure construction and education.
