Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang Holds Political Consultation with Vice Foreign Minister Neris Germanas of Lithuania

On January 22, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang held the China-Lithuania political consultation at vice-foreign ministerial level with Vice Foreign Minister Neris Germanas of Lithuania in Beijing. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations, cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC), and other topics of common interest.

Qin Gang expressed, the Chinese side is ready to work with the Lithuanian side to take the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year as an opportunity to enhance political mutual trust and advance exchanges and cooperation in all fields under the frameworks of China-CEEC cooperation and the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. Neris Germanas said, the Lithuanian side supports the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and China-CEEC cooperation. On the basis of mutual benefit and win-win results, the Lithuanian side is willing to further deepen its cooperation with the Chinese side, and push forward China-Lithuania relations and China-CEEC cooperation for greater development.

The two sides also exchanged views on other issues of common concern.
