Xi Jinping said, President Aleksandar Vucic's decision to assign Madam Prime Minister to lead a delegation for the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) fully demonstrates the importance the Serbian side attaches to China-Serbia cooperation. The Chinese side is willing to continue deepening political mutual trust and traditional friendship with the Serbian side, promote the joint building of the Belt and Road Initiative, further elevate the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership and build a closer community of shared interests.

Xi Jinping stressed, the two sides should keep up the momentum in high-level exchanges, and firmly support each other's core interests. Efforts should be made to well implement major cooperation projects in production capacity, infrastructure construction and other fields, and jointly well build landmark projects including the Smederevo steel plant and the Budapest-Belgrade railway. The two countries should continue to carry out sound cooperation in such areas as fifth-generation mobile communications and smart cities.
