On March 5, 2019, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhang Jun met with visiting Director General for Multilateral Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Axel Kenes of Belgium. Both sides exchanged views on maintaining multilateralism and the role of the United Nations (UN), China-Belgium cooperation in the UN Security Council, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, international economic cooperation and other issues.
