Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li Attends National Day Reception of France

On July 14, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li attended upon invitation the National Day Reception hosted by French Embassy in China.

In his remarks, Deng Li extended congratulations on the National Day of France, and said that China and France have increased mutual trust through dialogue, realized win-win results through cooperation, promoted mutual understanding through exchanges, and joined hands to meet global challenges through consultation, which is of great significance that goes beyond the bilateral scope. The two sides should follow the guidance of the strategic consensus between the two heads of state, and forge a more solid, stable and vibrant China-France comprehensive strategic partnership, to lead sustained and sound development of China-Europe relations and make greater contributions to world peace, stability and prosperity.

French Ambassador to China Bertrand Lortholary said in his remarks that France is ready to work with China to take the opportunity of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and China, the France-China Year of Culture and Tourism, and the Paris Olympic Year in 2024, to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy and trade, and culture and people-to-people interactions, jointly safeguard multilateralism, join hands in tackling global challenges, and push for greater vitality and vibrancy in France-China relations.
