On November 25, Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with Leonidas Rokanas, Greek Ambassador to China who is to leave his post.

Qin Gang spoke positively of Leonidas Rokanas's contributions to promoting China-Greece relations during his tenure, especially the contributions to propelling the practical cooperation between the two countries under the framework of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and the "17+1 cooperation". Qin Gang stressed that both China and Greece should work together to well implement the outcomes of President Xi Jinping's recent successful visit to Greece, and hoped that Leonidas Rokanas will continue to care for and support the friendly cause between China and Greece in his new post. Leonidas Rokanas thanked the Chinese side for providing support and convenience for his fulfillment of duty, and expressed the willingness to continuously play an active role in facilitating Greece-China friendship.
