On June 18, 2013, Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao met with H.E. Kristin A. Arnadottir, Ambassador of Iceland to China, and H. E. Lars Backstrom, Ambassador of Finland to China, to bid farewell for their departure.

Song Tao made positive comments on the development achievements of China-Iceland and China-Finland relations in recent years, as well as the two ambassadors' efforts to push forward bilateral relations.

The two ambassadors thanked the Chinese side for providing support and assistance during their tenure, saying they are willing to continue to contribute to deepening Iceland-China and Finland-China friendship.
