From August 29 to 31, 2017, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao visited Iceland, during which he met with Minister for Foreign Affairs Gudlaugur Thór Thórdarson of Iceland and held the second China-Iceland political dialogue between the two Foreign Ministries with Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Stefán Haukur Jóhannesson of Iceland. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Iceland relations and international and regional issues of common concern.
