On June 23, 2017, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao attended at invitation the reception held by Maltese Embassy in China marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Malta diplomatic relations and Malta’s successfully taking over the EU rotating presidency for the first time, and exchanged views with Maltese Ambassador to China John Aquilina on China-Malta relations, China-EU relations and other topics.
