On September 20, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang attended upon invitation the reception marking the 55th anniversary of the independence of Malta held by the Maltese Embassy in China and addressed the function. Qin Gang also exchanged views with Maltese Ambassador to China John Aquilina on bilateral relations and other topics.
