On August 3, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Korean Peninsula Affairs Liu Xiaoming met with Swiss Ambassador to China Bernardino Regazzoni. They spoke highly of the China-Switzerland relations, and exchanged views on the Korean Peninsula Issues.

Liu shared China's evaluation of the current situation on the Peninsula, and encouraged Switzerland to play a constructive role in promoting the political settlement of the Peninsula Issues. Bernardino Regazzoni said that Switzerland has been following closely the situation on the Peninsula, and his country is willing to continue to contribute to the maintenance of peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula.
