On February 2, 2024, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of the Foreign Ministry Shen Bo and Deputy State Secretary and Head of the UN Division of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Thomas Guerber held consultations on the affairs of the United Nations Security Council in Beijing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the work of the Security Council and international and regional hotspot issues, and agreed to further strengthen communication and coordination and jointly promote the Security Council to play a positive and constructive role in maintaining international peace and security.
