On February 2, 2024, Assistant Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with Deputy State Secretary and Head of the United Nations Division of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Thomas Guerber who was in China for the consultation between China and Switzerland on the affairs of the United Nations Security Council. The two sides had an exchange of views on the current international situation, the cooperation between China and Switzerland at the United Nations, and regional hotspot issues, among others.
