From June 29 to 30, 2023, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo attended the London Conference 2023 of Chatham House and relevant seminars in London upon invitation.

Wu Hongbo said that in response to major-country competition, the international community must uphold the authority of the United Nations, support multilateralism, and improve global governance. He stressed that China's development has brought opportunities to all countries and injected stability and certainty into the world. Wu Hongbo also exchanged views on China-U.S. relations, China-Europe relations and other issues of concern to the participants.
